We are Chris and Anndee Stringer. We met as teenagers at Rogers First Church of the Nazarene in Rogers, Arkansas and began dating in high school. We attended Southern Nazarene University together, where Chris earned a degree in Psychology and Anndee earned a degree in English. We were married in 2001. God confirmed Chris’s call to ministry in early 2003. Then we served in Palermo, Italy, with Nazarenes in Voluntary Service (now called Mission Corps) in 2003-2004.
After Italy, we returned to Rogers and life got very busy. We have two amazing daughters, Genevieve and Juliana. In 2009, God called Anndee to prepare for the ministry. Now both are district licensed in the North Arkansas District. In 2011, the Lord spoke into our lives that it was time to “Get ready!” and “Be Patient!” That call led us to seek out our next steps in missions with the Church of the Nazarene.
At a cross-cultural orientation in July of 2011, we learned of how God is working in amazing ways in South America through Extreme Nazarene Missions. The night we learned about Extreme, we knew God was calling us to be a part of his ministry in Peru. Over days that followed, we prayed, we sought confirmation and felt completely at peace to follow the call of God to be Cluster Coordinators of a church planting team. Eight weeks after learning about Extreme, we landed in Arequipa, Peru. It was fast! Even so, we knew God had provided for us each step along the way. Our job was to lead and care for a team of ten young Peruvian and North American church planters. They were amazing and we are humbled to have served them and the people of Arequipa. We finished the church planting project in Arequipa in December of 2013.
Following the Peace,
Chris & Anndee
